This section is dedicated to the memory of my former partner, teammate and friend, Mike Higashi; RIP Brother. Lt. Michael "Odd Job" Higashi 2/13/1955 - 4/26/2019
During my tenure on the SWAT team, I was assigned a variety of assignments. I initially started as a Scout/Point on our entry team. Along with that position I held a collateral position as Sniper (long-range marksman). After a period of time, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and was assigned as a Team Leader. Eventually I was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and selected as the Team Commander. During most of my time on the team I attended a variety of advanced firearms instructor courses, Sniper schools, advanced tactics courses and SWAT schools.
